Information Minister Seeks Support Of Police For Media Houses

mediaThe Minister of Information and Culture, Mr Lai Mohammed, is seeking the support of the police to provide security for media houses.

Speaking with Members of the Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria (BON) in Abuja, Mr Mohammed said the initiative will help ensure that media houses run effectively without interference from criminally minded persons.

He appealed to broadcast organisations to join in the campaign against insecurity in the country.

He added that the spate of insecurity in the country and how to tackle it headlong is what informed this meeting.

Top officials of the broadcast houses freely express their minds on issues that affect them and how the campaign against terrorism can be sustained.

Mr Mohammed responded to their questions but called for a synergy between the Ministry and the Nigerian Police in providing adequate security for broadcast organisations.
